Taco Bell will be testing new Agua Refrescas across Southern California for the next five weeks. The drinks have an energetic green tea base and are blended with fruit flavors and mixed with authentic freeze-dried fruit pieces.
Does this sound familiar? That’s because it’s identical to Starbucks’ popular Refreshers beverages, right down to the flavor characteristics. Starbucks offers Strawberry Acai Refresher, Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, and Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher. Taco Bell’s Agua Refrescas range will include many of the same flavors but with various mix-ins.
While supplies last, the Tex-Mex eatery offers Strawberry Passionfruit, Peach Mango, and Dragonfruit Berry beverages.
Taco Bell’s drinks are less expensive than Starbucks’. While a Starbucks coffee might cost up to $4 or $5, Taco Bell’s 16-ounce Agua Refrescas only costs $3.99.
